What could be better for summer than good beach reads from Nantucket?  We are so excited to have Nantucket authors Nancy Thayer and Elin Hilderbrand coming too our store in Mystic for a reading and luncheon.  We are calling it Ladies Who Lunch" at Bank Square Books, although men can come as well!  Tickets are $25 and include a signed copy
of the new hardcovers. Nancy's new novel is BEACHCOMBERS, about three sisters who come together on Nantucket one summer with their widowed father.  All three are in a different phase of their life and they are all protective of their father, especially when divorcee Marina moves into their backyard cottage.  A fun, delightful summer read. 

Elin's new novel is THE ISLAND, also set on Nantucket and the little island of Tuckernuck.  A mother, her two daughters and her sister come together for the summer of love, suspense and intigue.  Another wonderful read.  I almost feel like I know people on Nantucket and a bit about their love lives! Nancy comes tommorrow July 1st and Elin will be here next Wednesday, July 7th. We'll let you know how it goes.
