Ladies Who Lunch at Bank Square Books Weekly Report

Yesterday Bank Square Books hosted their first Ladies Who Lunch at the store with Nantucket author Nancy Thayer with her new novel "BEACHCOMBERS", a story of three sisters one summer on Nantucket. Nancy was delightful and spoke honestly about her past experiences and what it means to be a writer.  She discussed the difference between being a "literary" writer or a "commercial" one.  Ideally, one would like to be both but it is difficult.  Nancy's books are really about a normal life with all its ups and downs.  Lunch was delicious, the brownies were deadly and the wine at noon was a treat.  Elin Hilderbrand will be here Wednesday with her new novel THE ISLAND which comes out on Monday for our second Ladies Who Lunch at Bank Square Books.  What a treat.
